Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium to join our engineering team in Hyderabad. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, performance, reliability, and security of our web-based applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both automation and manual testing, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to work closely with developers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
Build and maintain scalable automation testing frameworks.
Analyse business and functional requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, system, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
Collaborate with developers to analyse issues and ensure timely defect resolution.
Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
Execute automated test suites and analyse test results.
Perform API testing and validate request and response data.
Conduct database testing using SQL queries.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, requirement discussions, and retrospective meetings.
Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and quality metrics.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks, and overall QA processes.
Ensure that applications meet functional, performance, usability, and security requirements.

Required Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or PyTest.
Strong knowledge of Page Object Model, data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid automation frameworks.
Experience in manual and automation testing of web applications.
Good understanding of software testing life cycle and software development life cycle.
Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Working knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Experience with defect-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or other modern testing tools.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.
Experience testing enterprise SaaS, CRM, telecom, billing, inventory, or workflow-management applications.
Basic understanding of cloud environments and containerisation.
Knowledge of security and accessibility testing practices.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
